My Wedding

I just thought I would share my wedding with you. I was married on July 8, 2006. I can’t believe the last two years have flown by. The 7 months we planned the wedding seemed to drag on much to do and so little time. Our original plan was to get married on a glacier in Alaska, due to running his business my father and step-mother could not make the trip. So since I wanted my father to walk me down the isle and his sadness of not being there we decided to have our wedding here and go to Alaska for our honeymoon. I wanted the wedding to be a reflection of my future husband and I. I also didn’t want to go broke. So I decided to do as much as I could myself and with the help of a few wonderful people. I realized what items were most important to us and worked my budget around them. It was not a platinum wedding but a true reflection of who we are.

My arch! I bought the lighted arch at Michaels using a coupon and decorated it with silk flowers, garland and tulle on eBay. With the help of my future husbands family we spent a day putting everything together. It was special for us to be married under something that was created with love.
I love sweets! So I created a candy bar. I ordered organza bags and customized ribbon to fill with customized M&M’s. I also ordered the customized labels and placed them on different kinds of candy.

I couldn’t resist the M&M cake topper I found on eBay..well that had to go on the grooms cake..LOL. Photobucket

Here is the entry table, my wedding cake, and the guest tables. And who couldn’t forget the bubbles. Photobucket
